The park is undergoing extensive renovations and it will upgrade the facilities substantially once they're complete. Unfortunately the dinosaur exhibit, which was the best part of the day, is temporary. But once the park is upgraded I think it's going be a great attraction for that you should consider for membership.
MOSI has been a fixture in the Tampa Bay area for decades. Unfortunately it shows. It's been 30 years since I've been here but the museum has definitely reduced its size and is a fraction of what it used to be. Although still interesting, the displays are dated and the interactive exhibits are worn. Its too bad.
The Tampa Bay Ice Cream Festival is a sweet celebration of summer featuring the best frozen treats from local ice cream shops, food trucks, and dessert makers across the region! Indulge in classic favorites and creative new flavors while enjoying music, games, and waterfront views. But, do go during the late afternoon
Kennedy Space Center is the technological and emotional heart of Americans and anyone that loves space exploration. Don't expect to find a museum because the Space Center has been converted into a small theme park. Also don't make the mistake of allowing 3 or 4 hours. You'll need the whole day!
Fort san Marco is the only 18-19th century stone fortification in the United states. Built by the Spanish after 9 attempts at maintaining wooden fortifications, this Fort is made out of coquina stone. Coquina is an amalgamated rock which is formed out of small seashells. It's a must see location for any tourist coming
Evergreen airport tours are a bucket list item for most tourists that come to Florida. At Port Everglades you'll have two types to choose from, a mangrove tunnel and open water airboat ride. If you want an unforgettable experience that I don't think can be replicated then Jack's airboat is the right for you.
This is classic Florida. For great seafood in Everglades FL don't miss this unique eatery. Fresh seafood, great side dishes and the fantastic view of the river. You can't go wrong with just about anything you order. Pricey but for once worth it. Try something different, explore the menu; enjoy!
Farm to table means fresh food and high quality and Buckingham farms provides this. If you are not budget restrained this is a good place for lunch. For value at this price full service should be expected. But the food is good.
If you are open to new tastes and experiences then there are two locations in Tampa you must try; Qamaria Yemeni Coffee and Melt and Dip. Both are inspired by middle eastern delights and offer coffees, baked goods, ice cream, crepes and more. You cant and wont find anything like this; its worth the trip just to enjoy.
Adventure island is in Tampa FL and is adjacent to Busch Gardens. It is under the same ownership. If you visit one park you can get a 2 day pass. Otherwise, it’s a great place to take families on a really hot summer day. The park has been in operation since the 1980s and it shows. The attractions though are excellent
Every summer starting in May the market moves to Williams Park. The park is mostly shaded and even in the heat of day you can enjoy an easy stroll. It’s a potpourri of local vendors and you can get organic vegetables, T-shirts, sundries and local food. Come early if you want to avoid the heat but do come.
Dollywood in Pigeon Forge TN also has a water park. Splash village is a competitive attraction and a great one for the family in the summertime. Bring your suit, and leave everything else behind as you’ll have to purchase on site your food, water and sundries. But, this is a great park and won’t regret coming.
Of the bountiful Americana that you will find in Pigeon Forge, the half Illinois McCoy dinner theater is but one venue that you can take advantage of during your visit to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It’s a dinner theater that offers a hearty simple meal of fried chicken, biscuits and vegetables. And its a blast!
I know you've heard of Dolly Parton, but did you know that she has a theme park that's been opened since the late 80s? It's excellent and you should consider it well within your interest if you like Orlando's attractions. They are on a par with what you'll find in Florida.
